Counseling – psychological help

Sometimes, you reach a point in life where you feel stuck. You may struggle with stress or insecurity or find yourself caught in the same patterns repeatedly. Perhaps you’re dealing with anxiety, feeling emotionally drained, or have been feeling down for a long time. Whatever the reason, I am here to help you create change.

Counseling is a process in which you gain a deeper understanding of yourself. In a safe setting, we explore what is happening in your life and how it influences your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We look at your background and experiences and how you cope with them. This journey allows you to discover and experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Sometimes, you may find space for emotions you have suppressed for a long time. Other times, you may uncover deeply rooted beliefs that are holding you back. Whatever your concern, we will work on it together. My goal is for you to feel heard and understood, to have a place where you can speak freely, and to grow in a way that suits you.

Gaining insight into emotions

A key question is what is keeping the problem in place. What mechanisms are at work that maintain the issue? It may be linked to past negative experiences but also to habits or behaviours you are unaware of.

In our conversations, we work to clarify what is happening inside you. I encourage you to express your thoughts and feelings, explore them, and recognise your deeper needs. I reflect on what I observe in you and help you find the right words for your emotions, making you more aware of how you deal with them.

Deep insight into your emotions comes from consciously experiencing, understanding, and processing them. When you recognize underlying feelings, you gain a better understanding of why you react the way you do. This helps break through limiting patterns. The video below explains more about this.

Utilizing your strengths

Being able to share your personal story, feeling heard and seen, and gaining self-awareness all contribute to learning how to handle your challenges. A final key to change is taking action — working towards practical, goal-oriented change.

I help you in your search for a solution. I see you as the expert on your own problem. This means I support and encourage you to use your strengths and resources and enhance the skills you already have. At times, I may assign you ‘homework’ to observe certain situations and practice different behaviours. The goal is to increase your sense of control and resilience.
